The AI analyzes your meal photo and provides a detailed breakdown explaining the score.

Q: What do the score ranges mean?

A:

  • 80-100: Excellent — supports gut health
  • 60-79: Good — generally beneficial
  • 40-59: Moderate — some positive aspects
  • 0-39: Poor — may negatively impact gut health

Q: How is my daily gut health score calculated?

A: Your daily score is the average of all meal scores for that day. If you haven't logged any meals, it's calculated from your fiber and water progress toward daily targets.

Q: Does the scoring consider my dietary restrictions?

A: Yes. The AI considers your dietary restrictions, symptoms (like IBS or reflux), and goals when analyzing meals and providing recommendations.

Food Logging

Q: How do I log a meal?

A: Tap the camera button on the home screen, take a photo of your meal, and the AI will analyze it automatically. You can also add notes if needed.

Q: What if the AI doesn't recognize my food correctly?

A: The AI provides its best analysis based on the photo. You can review the nutritional information and gut health insights. If something seems incorrect, you can add notes to your log entry.

Q: Can I edit or delete food logs?

A: Currently, you can view your food logs and their details. Editing and deletion features are coming soon.

Q: How accurate is the nutritional information?

A: The AI provides estimates based on visual analysis. For precise tracking, consider using a food scale for portion sizes. The gut health insights are based on the visible foods and preparation methods.

Water Logging

Q: How do I log water intake?

A: Tap the water progress card on the home screen to open the water logging modal, then add the amount you've consumed.

Q: What's my daily water target?

A: Your water target is part of your personalized nutrition plan, typically based on your body weight, activity level, and goals. You can view and adjust it in Settings under Nutrition Plan.

Q: Can I change my water target?

A: Yes. Go to Settings → Nutrition Plan and edit your water target (in liters).

Nutrition Plans

Q: How is my nutrition plan created?

A: Your plan is AI-generated based on your onboarding information, including:

  • Height, weight, and desired weight
  • Activity level
  • Health goals
  • Symptoms and dietary restrictions
  • Goal pace (gentle, steady, or accelerated)

Q: Can I update my nutrition plan?

A: Yes. If you've completed onboarding, you can regenerate your plan from the plan screen, or manually adjust your targets in Settings → Nutrition Plan.

Q: What targets are included in my plan?

A: Your plan includes daily targets for:

  • Calories
  • Protein (grams)
  • Carbohydrates (grams)
  • Fat (grams)
  • Fiber (grams)
  • Water (liters)

Streaks

Q: How do streaks work?

A: Your food streak tracks consecutive days with at least one logged meal. The streak resets if you go more than one day without logging.

Q: What happens if I miss a day?

A: If you miss one day, your streak resets. Log at least one meal each day to maintain your streak.

Q: Can I see my streak history?

A: Your current streak is displayed in the app header. Historical streak data is available in the Stats screen.

Progress Tracking

Q: How do I view my progress?

A: Use the Stats tab to see:

  • Gut health score trends over time
  • Weekly AI summaries
  • Progress toward your nutrition goals
  • Historical data for calories, macros, fiber, and water

Q: Can I view data for past dates?

A: Yes. Use the calendar on the home screen to select any date and view your logs and progress for that day.

Q: How do I update my profile information?

A: Go to Settings and tap the edit icon (pencil) next to any section:

Q: Can I change my unit system (metric/imperial)?

Technical Issues

A: Analysis typically takes a few seconds. Slow connections may take longer. Ensure you have a stable internet connection.

Q: My progress isn't updating.

A: Try pulling down to refresh on the home screen. If issues persist, ensure you're connected to the internet and try restarting the app.

Q: Can I use the app offline?

A: You can view previously logged data offline, but logging new meals and AI analysis require an internet connection.

Q: How often should I log meals?

A: Log meals as you eat them for the most accurate tracking. Aim to log at least one meal per day to maintain your streak.

A: Yes. Logging snacks helps provide a complete picture of your daily nutrition and gut health.
